Garage door repair in Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is where the salt starts mattering. Everything east of Federal takes real coastal exposure, and the hardware fails years earlier than it does out where our shop is.

The salt line runs through this city
Airborne salt settles into the spring coils, the cable strand and the roller bearings and strips the protective coating off all three. Near the Intracoastal and the beach, corrosion starts years before it would in Coral Springs.
Out west, past I-95 and toward Plantation, that eases considerably. It is the same city and two different maintenance stories, which is why we ask where you are before quoting hardware grade.
Historic districts and improvised conversions
Victoria Park, Colee Hammock, Sailboat Bend and the older streets off Las Olas hold housing that predates modern garage construction. Some of those openings were converted from tilt-up to sectional at some point by somebody working to no particular standard.
Those conversions are where we find mismatched track, undersized springs and brackets fixed into frames that will not hold them. We photograph what is actually installed and explain it rather than adding line items.

Fort Lauderdale questions
Why do my springs fail faster than my friend's inland?
Airborne salt. It strips the protective coating and gets into the cable strand, so corrosion starts years earlier near the coast than it does out toward Coral Springs. Galvanized hardware is worth the extra here.
My garage was converted from an old tilt-up door.
Common in the historic districts. Older conversions often used mismatched track and undersized springs. We photograph what is installed and tell you what it would take to make it right.
